Hello!

I am Sarah and I make cards. In July 2016 I launched StickerKitten, my own brand of papercraft products. You can see everything StickerKitten related over at www.stickerkitten.co.uk. This blog is a place for all my non-StickerKitten crafty adventures using other brands' products that I love.

Design teams
Currently I am on the Craft Consortium design team and loving their beautiful products. My previous design teams include docrafts (2013–15) and Things to Alter (2016).

About me
I have collected stickers since I was little and I still love them! In fact I love anything paper- or stationery-related or just anything shiny and pretty really. I also have a tin of gorgeous beads that I have been collecting since I was little. I have way too many craft supplies and for some reason still labour under the delusion that I will get through them all one day despite buying at a faster rate than anyone could possibly craft.

I like to make clean and simple style cards that don't take too long to do.

My favourite brands are Lawn Fawn and Stampin' Up.

I like walking in the countryside and ruining all my good work by eating too much chocolate.

Apparently I like blogging... I seem to have a lot of blogs. The fourth and most neglected one is www.bookfluff.co.uk, my blog on books and reading. Poor lil guy doesn't get updated very often.

Where was I...? Oh yes, cards. I like silver gems and coloured inks (since I'm rubbish at colouring stamped images/don't have time). I don't like getting messy because I don't like having to clean up afterwards so no mixed media or glitter for me! I super love sequins (as you may have guessed, I have collected them since I was little... Was I a weird child??) and I like wooden embellishments and anything that looks super cool and modern like acetate sentiments, vellum toppers, foiling on papers and die cuts, and enamel dots that look good enough to eat.

Tell the Bees

Hi crafters! My blog post today is about the gorgeous new Tell the Bees collection from Craft Consortium . The papers are designed by Katy Hackney (who also designed the English Garden paper pad – another one of my favourites) and they are absolutely beautiful. Bees are really on trend at the moment and so this paper pad is one of my new favourite things! Also featured in the range are matching stamps, ribbons and sequins and coordinating decoupage papers. I have made a few cards with the range so far and I'm super keen to make more (including a shaker card with the sequins) – just need to try and find some free time for crafting! Hopefully with all the bank holidays coming up I will have a chance to sit in my craftroom and craft (instead of doing admin!) For my first card I started with a background layer of bee patterned paper and added a die cut circle of daisy paper on top, attached with foam squares. Easter crafts - decoupage eggs

Hi crafters! If you are looking for a crafty way to brighten up your home decor over Easter then decoupage easter eggs are a great idea. They don't take too much time or effort, they are fun to do and they look really pretty. I started out with some polystyrene eggs that I bought from Sainsbury's (polystyrene is very lightweight so good for hanging wherever you like really, but you could also use plastic or wooden eggs, or real eggs but they're not going to last very long). I painted each egg with a base layer of white paint to give a smoother surface and something for the papers to stick to a bit better than bare polystyrene. Next I tore up the decoupage paper into small pieces. I am using these beautiful decoupage papers from Craft Consortium . Usually the recommendation is to use postage stamp sized pieces, but as the egg is curved and I didn't want the pieces to wrinkle too much I used smaller bits. Kori Kumi Mother's Day Card

Hi there crafters! Recently I have been lucky enough to play with the brand new Kori Kumi collection from Craft Consortium before it's out in the shops. This new Kori Kumi range is designed to coordinate with the previous collection, but it has new colours and different images and embellishments. One of my favourite designs is 'Dreamboat' as she looks so peaceful drifting along in her paper boat! As it's Mother's Day on Sunday I decided the image would lend itself well to card all about relaxation, which mums deserve on Mother's Day! I used a 6x6" kraft card blank and covered it with a panel of blue fishes paper. Next I added a strip of kraft card across the centre with two lines of washi tape from the collection, and popped the girl in the boat on top.
